FAQ
Product Design & Care
-
All of our ceramic products are microwave and dishwasher safe. They are even oven safe, just simply allow your piece to preheat with the oven so that there is no temperature shock.
-
Our tableware line is individually hand thrown on the potter’s wheel and our home decor line is hand-built from slabs in our Virginia Beach pottery studio.
-
We use stoneware clay and in-house formulated glaze recipes for all of our pieces. Stoneware is a type of clay that is stronger and denser than most, which is why it can feel heavier/thicker than normal. This quality prevents our rims from chipping easily and our pieces from overheating in the microwave.
-
Lead-free, food-safe glazes made in-house by our production team!

This is common among all ceramic tableware. It is actually residue from the metal silverware coming off onto your piece. It is not permanent and luckily there are ways to reverse this. Our favorite product we use in this situation is “Barkeeper’s Friend” and can be found at most hardware stores.
